Website information
Terms of use.
The rules for using this website. They do not govern the use of any Elstran product.
Last updated: 10 September 2026
1. About these terms
This website is operated by ELSTRAN s.r.o., Zbrojnická 224/1, Střešovice, 162 00 Praha 6, Czech Republic, IČO 29924278, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 454637 (“Elstran”, “we”, “us”).
Reading this website does not create a contract between us, and we do not ask you to agree to anything in order to read it. These terms tell you the rules we apply to this website, what we reserve, and what we ask of you. Where something genuinely needs your agreement, we will ask for it expressly.
They do not govern the use of any Elstran product or service. That is governed by the agreement signed with the customer and by the product documentation referred to in it.
Where these terms, the content of this website, product documentation and a signed agreement say different things, they apply in this order: the signed agreement first, then the product documentation, then these terms, and the rest of the website last.
2. What the words mean
“Website” means the website at elstran.com, including every page, document, image and file we publish on it.
“Content” means everything published on the website: text, layout, design, graphics, illustrations, diagrams, logos, product names and any documents made available for download.
“You” means the person using the website, and the organisation on whose behalf that person is acting.
“Enquiry” means a message you send us through the contact form or by email.
3. Who this website is for
This website is addressed to organisations and to people acting in the course of their business or profession. It does not offer goods or services to consumers, and nothing on it can be ordered, bought or subscribed to online.
If you are visiting as a consumer, you are welcome to read it. No contract is concluded through this website, and nothing here is a distance contract or an invitation to enter into one.
The website is operated from the Czech Republic and is intended for readers in the European Economic Area. We make no claim that its content is appropriate or available for use anywhere else, and if you use it from elsewhere you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with your local law.
4. Information on this website
The content of this website is general information about our platform and our services. It is not an offer, not advice, and not a contractual commitment. Nothing on it creates an obligation on our side, and you should not treat it as a substitute for professional, technical or legal advice about your own situation.
Product descriptions, availability, specifications, operating environments, delivery scope, service levels and any commitments are binding only as set out in the relevant product documentation and in the signed agreement.
We keep this website up to date to the best of our ability, but we do not warrant that every statement on it is complete, accurate or current at any given moment.
5. Descriptions of how our technology works
Parts of this website describe how our platform is designed to work — how information moves through it, where decisions stay with people, and what is recorded. Those descriptions explain the design of the system in general terms.
How any of it applies to a particular deployment depends on how that deployment is configured, what it is connected to and what was agreed. The binding description of what a customer receives is the product documentation and the signed agreement, not this website.
6. Statements about the future
Parts of this website describe where our product is heading — what we are building toward, what is planned and what we expect to ship. Those are statements about our intentions and expectations at the time of writing, based on what we know now.
They are not promises, commitments or delivery dates, and they describe a direction rather than a present state. Plans change, and we are under no obligation to update a forward-looking statement once it is published.
7. Illustrative material and placeholders
Workflows, screens and scenarios shown on this website are illustrations of an approach. They are not customer case studies, not measured performance results and not guarantees of any outcome.
Areas marked as placeholders are reserved for planned Elstran imagery. They do not depict an existing Elstran office, a customer installation or a live product interface.
Any figures used in an illustration are chosen to explain the idea, not drawn from a real engagement.
8. Other companies’ names and marks
Names, trade marks, logos and product names of other companies mentioned on this website belong to their respective owners. We use them only to describe the technologies and environments we work with.
Mentioning them does not imply any endorsement, certification, partnership or affiliation unless we say so expressly.
9. Availability and changes to the website
We would like this website to be available at all times, but we do not promise that it will be. We may change, suspend, move or discontinue any part of it — including any page or document — without prior notice and without being obliged to keep any particular content published.
We are not responsible for any consequence of the website, or any part of it, being unavailable, delayed or changed.
10. Acceptable use
Please use this website in the ordinary way it is meant to be used. In particular, do not:
— interfere with the operation of the website or with the equipment on which it runs, including by overloading it or disrupting it for others;
— attempt to gain access to any part of the website, its infrastructure or its administration that is not made public;
— test, probe or scan the website or its infrastructure for vulnerabilities without our prior written permission, except as described in the next article;
— use the contact form in an automated way, to send unsolicited commercial messages, or to send anything unlawful, harmful or deliberately misleading;
— impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you are or on whose behalf you are writing;
— use the website or its content in a way that infringes anyone’s rights or breaches any law that applies to you.
11. Reporting a security weakness
If you believe you have found a security weakness in this website, please tell us at info@elstran.com before disclosing it anywhere else, and give us a reasonable opportunity to fix it. Please include enough detail for us to reproduce the issue.
What we undertake. We will acknowledge your report, keep you informed of what we do with it, and treat a report made in good faith as help rather than as an attack. We will not pursue you for a good-faith report that stays within this article.
What is not covered. Please do not run denial-of-service or load tests, do not use social engineering against our people or our suppliers, do not access, alter or download data belonging to anyone else, and do not disrupt the service for other visitors. Testing our suppliers’ own systems is a matter between you and them, not something we can permit.
We do not operate a paid bug bounty for this website.
12. Automated access, and text and data mining
Please do not scrape, crawl or systematically download this website beyond ordinary search engine indexing, and please respect any instructions published for automated clients.
We expressly reserve the rights in the content of this website for the purposes of text and data mining, including its use to develop, train or fine-tune machine-learning models or artificial intelligence systems. This reservation is made under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and Section 39c(2) of the Czech Copyright Act.
The same reservation is expressed in machine-readable form in our robots.txt, using content signals and by disallowing named AI crawlers. Where a signal there and this article describe the same use, the signal in robots.txt is the operative reservation — this article explains it, it does not extend it.
If you would like to use our content for text and data mining, for training, or as a source an AI system reads at the time of answering, ask us first at info@elstran.com. We are not unreasonable about it — we just want to know.
13. Our intellectual property
The content of this website is protected and belongs to Elstran or to its licensors. The Elstran name, the Elstran marks and our product names are ours.
What you may do. You may read this website, print or save individual pages for your own internal use, and quote reasonable extracts with a clear attribution and, online, a link back to the page you took them from.
What needs our written consent. Anything else — in particular systematic copying, republication, redistribution, translation, incorporation into another product or service, commercial use, and any use of our name or marks beyond identifying us.
Nothing on this website grants you a licence to any intellectual property beyond what this article says expressly. No licence is implied.
14. Using our brand and press materials
Journalists, analysts and partners may use our name and logo to refer to Elstran in editorial or reporting context, without altering the logo, and without suggesting that we endorse a product, opinion or organisation.
For anything else — a partner page, a customer reference, a case study, marketing material or an event — please ask first at info@elstran.com. We will send you the current brand assets and agree the wording with you.
15. What you send us
When you write to us through the contact form or by email, please send only what is needed to explain your enquiry.
Confidentiality. Unless we have agreed a confidentiality arrangement with you in writing, information you send us on your own initiative is not treated as confidential. We may use it to respond to you and to prepare a proposal. This does not give us any right to your intellectual property, and we will not publish what you send us.
Feedback. If you send us a suggestion or comment about our platform or this website, we may use it to improve what we do, without any obligation to you and without it creating any claim. We will not attribute it to you publicly without asking.
What not to send. Please do not send credentials, classified material, production data or tender-confidential documents in a first message. We will agree an appropriate and secure channel first. Please also do not send us confidential information belonging to someone else, or personal data about other people, unless you are entitled to share it.
How we handle personal data you do send us is described in our Privacy notice.
16. Personal data and cookies
What happens to personal data in connection with this website is described in our Privacy notice. What is and is not stored on your device is described on our Cookies page. Those documents are not part of these terms, and where they say something different about personal data, they prevail.
17. Linking to this website
You are welcome to link to this website, provided the link is fair, does not suggest an endorsement or association that does not exist, and does not damage our reputation.
Please do not present our pages inside a frame on another site, remove or obscure our branding, or reproduce our pages in a way that could be mistaken for your own material. Where a link does not meet those conditions, we may ask you to remove it.
Where we link out to a website operated by someone else, we do not control its content and we are not responsible for it. A link is not a recommendation.
18. Export control and sanctions
You must not use this website, or anything obtained from it, in breach of export control, sanctions or embargo rules that apply to you or to us.
19. Accessibility
We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible. If something on it is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us at info@elstran.com, describing the page and what got in the way. We will look at it and fix what we reasonably can.
This is a commitment to listen and to improve. It is not a declaration of conformity with any accessibility standard.
20. Warranties and liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies — in particular liability for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and liability for harm to a person’s natural rights.
Subject to that, this website is made available as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that the information on it is complete or current, or that it is fit for any particular purpose of yours.
Subject to the first paragraph, we are not liable for damage arising from your reliance on the general information published on this website, as distinct from information given to you in product documentation and in a signed agreement; nor for damage arising from the website being unavailable or changed, or from content on a website operated by someone else.
21. If you cause harm through misuse
If you breach article 10, 12, 13, 14 or 17 and that causes us damage, you are responsible for it under the law that applies. This article does not extend your liability beyond what the law provides; it says plainly that misuse of this website is not without consequence.
22. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, and the courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction.
Where mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere, or gives you the protection of the law of your own country, that right is not affected.
23. How to reach us
For anything concerning this website, including a complaint about its content, write to info@elstran.com. We read what arrives there and reply.
Formal legal correspondence should be sent to our registered office as stated in article 1.
24. Language
These terms are published in English. If we publish a translation, it is provided for convenience; where the versions differ, the English version prevails — except where mandatory law requires otherwise, in which case the version in your language prevails to the extent that law requires.
25. General, and changes to these terms
If part of these terms does not apply. If any part of them turns out to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision of these terms straight away, that is not a waiver of it and we may still enforce it later.
Assignment. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another company within a reorganisation or transfer of business. Your position is not to be worsened by it.
The whole of it. Together with the documents referred to in article 1, these terms are the whole of what governs your use of this website.
Changes. We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time of your visit is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it was last changed.
